Bassoonist Paul Rafanelli has been a member of the Seattle Symphony and Opera Orchestra since 1992.  He was previously a member of the Charleston (South Carolina) Symphony orchestra, and has performed in Italy with the Festival dei Due Mondi, and in the U.S.A. with the Grand Teton, Spoleto, Waterloo and Britt Festivals.  Mr. Rafanelli has been a concerto soloist with the Seattle Symphony and the Northwest Chamber Orchestra, and has appeared with Music of Remembrance,  Seattle Chamber Players, Icicle Creek Music Festival, and the Satori Wind Quintet (NYC).

In July 2010 he will make his first appearance with the Seattle Chamber Music Society.  Paul Rafanelli is a native of Seattle, WA, and has since 1997 been the bassoon instructor at University of Puget Sound.  A perennial student of food and wine, the pursuit of hedonistic pleasures interest him far more than practicing and making reeds!
